I have also been banned by Kaiser MULTIPLE TIMES!  I’ve used up all my personal, professional, and business e-mail addresses.  But half my comments were deleted anyway, even before I was banned.

Anyway, I know Kaiser has mentioned multiple times that she is half Indian, but she’s never said what the other half is?  I’m guessing she must be African American based on how if you don’t gush about other AA celebrities you will be banned or your comment deleted.  I’m guessing she’s also overweight, due to all her cries for body positivity and how we need more “real” and “average” women to be models and movie stars.

I’m guessing her demographic is exactly like her.  Any woman who is thin is accused of having an eating disorder, white women are consistently referred to as “beckies” by both Kaiser and her commenters, ad the term “whitesplaining” is used all to often.

—————————————————————————————————–

According to what Kaiser posted herself her father is Indian and her mother is white. My guess is that her parents are divorced and she was raised by her mother, because she just doesn’t show the knowledge of familiarity of Indian or Indian culture, or should I say cultures, since there are so many.

In regards to African Americans, she courts this demographic for her site, but multiple times she showed not to have true interest or understanding of the topic, and every time she was called out for it, she responded by banning people or deleting whole chains of comments.

Oh no. Oh no!! Hahahaha! I found this website when I accidentally googled “celebitchy.com” instead of entering it into my browser bar. I was like, “Oh? What’s this?” and clicked further down the page, to this Tumblr. Oh, my god. I’d had no IDEA others were banned from Celebitchy, too!

So, ok, just a bit of backstory: I used to be a professional culture critic. I have bylines at NYTimes, Guardian, Paste Magazine, a variety of tech websites… I even covered Kesha versus Dr. Luke, when that story was still fairly unknown, for Flavorwire. I’ve mostly been a tech writer my entire life, but for nine months I actually blogged about celebrity gossip for easy money. I replaced Molls McAleer at her old job when she left to found HelloGiggles. (The pay was fine, but… having to pose serious moral questions to yourself every morning, “Is it okay that I cover this?” is… well, it’s crazymaking. I *now* realize there are critical pop-culture analysts like Anne Helen Petersen, but those types didn’t exist back when I did it, back when it was basically dirty money you were earning.) I stopped writing culture-essays four years ago because of something unrelated to celebrity gossip… but I started to get my groove back on Celebitchy, and I guess I was leaving reeeeally long comments… …and then I got banned.

I got super fucking banned. It was probably because of one of the times I’d written a long analysis about why a bad take was a Bad Take, but it might’ve been as benign as the time I wrote a longform analysis of Jessica Chastain’s changing fashion sense. Who knows? I honestly can’t remember.

Either way, it was actually really hard on me! I was like, “Wow, what a total failure; you’ll never write for anyone again, you got banned from a random blog, you obviously suck.” I took it mega hard. But banning me didn’t stop me from posting.

I just switched to my real-name email and kept posting – shorter comments, obviously, and much less pointed ones. I was a rule-follower now, I guess. But oh my god, hahahahahaha! I finally saw the Tumblr questions here that are like “whoa, why did they add the whole thing to their comments policy about deleting comments that are long?"

Oh, no. I can honestly say that was added FOR ME. I did that! I am why! Oh my god, that is so embarrassing, I am crying. I hadn’t realized that the comments policy was updated FOR ME before now, and… I’m honestly a little bit crushed! I’d thought that my ban was random and arbitrary! It kind of cuts to the quick, that they were THAT insistent that I just leave their website.

Before now, I didn’t realize how much they wanted me to just leave. (I’m not being delusional btw; the policy change was FOR ME. The timelines match up. This is literally why I was banned, and they made up a rule for me afterward. Ugh.)

Anyway, I can’t go back and comment on that website again, obviously. To me it’s like, wow! My ban wasn’t a shot in the dark, wasn’t arbitrary. They just really don’t want me to comment ever again.

Obviously I’m verbose, so you can see why I was banned, too, haha. Sorry! Old habits die hard. But… I know my insights were good. It’s kind of fucked up to claim that people who have lots to say are "distracting from the story,” and that really bothers me.

To anyone else who fancies themselves as a burgeoning culture critic, just, take your talents elsewhere, ok? Don’t let your opinion of yourself be ruined by these people. I wish there were another good gossip website with a cool comments section, but I guess there isn’t one. That’s heartbreaking, but it’s what it is.

“Either way, it was actually really hard on me! I was like, “Wow, what a total failure; you’ll never write for anyone again, you got banned from a random blog, you obviously suck. “ - Lol, I felt something similar. )))

I just got banned because I didn’t praise Serena Williams in the post about her yesterday. Today there’s another post where comments are heavily moderated and most comments are agreeing with Serena, and Kaiser actually thanked one poster for telling others they’re not real tennis fans for having a different opinion. LMAO Kaiser is so biased and she’s not even ashamed of it. That website has truly gone to the pits.

—————————————————————————————————–

That Serena Williams post is a such trainwreck. Serena behaved like a spoiled diva, and instead of just admitting it and moving on people are trying to justify it. Sure, there could be multiple reasons that she lost it, but the fact remains that she did, in a professional setting. Most of us, if we behaved like Serena, would be out of work, regardless of our race, color or sex. Nobody behaves like that in my office.

On top of it, you have to realize that foreigners have very little understanding of the US racial dynamics, and the other player got caught in the cross-fire, through no fault of her own. And she is a woman of color too! And from a country notorious for sexism. Japan is far more sexist than the US. But Celebitchy posters don’t care about that. They feel they have to protect Serena at all costs.

Anonymous asked: Robin Wright believes House of Cards co-star Kevin Spacey deserves a second chance. And Kaiser did not post about this just because she likes RW. But she crucifies the women she doesn't like for a lot less.

Absolutely. I remember they racked Scarlett Johanson over the coals for going out with Shawn Penn, once. She was cancelled. Charlise dated Penn for a few years, but because she was liked, that was OK. Robin was actually married to the guy.

My comment on yesterday’s Salma Hayek post got deleted. All I said was that I thought it was demeaning to refer to her as a “trophy wife” but alas, the poster didn’t agree with my feedback

—————————————————————————————————-

I agree with you. Salma Hayek might be attracted to power and money, but so are most people. That alone doesn’t make her a trophy wife. Otherwise, by the same argument, Meghan Markle is a trophy wife too.

Anonymous asked: First time poster here. Just to spread a little mischief - find a browser such as opera and activate the free VPN then post something on celebitchy with a new name and an imaginary but realistic looking email addressI! I tried it after being banned and it works.

VPN works even against Chinese government censorship. )))

So, after the trainwreck of the Cassel’s post I got to the Krainski’s post. And people are annoyed at him praising his wife. Really? Wow. Now, ask yourself, if a woman was saying something like that about her more famous husband, would we think anything amiss? Of course, not!  But, when the genders are reversed, people are uncomfortable with it. They internalized the patriarchy and they don’t even know it about themselves.

Today’s post about Vincent Cassel is so lame. And right there you know that Kaiser has no convictions of her own. She doesn’t know what to say, how people will react, and so she hedges.

Let me tell you, Kaiser, how you should react when a powerful 51 y.o. man marries a woman 30 years his junior, whom he groomed since she was 18 y.o. You should be outraged, and the man should be “cancelled”.

And the same goes for the CB commenters, who also didn’t know how to react without Kaiser telling them, and chose to talk about how pretty the woman is , and how she looks older, and her dress, and anything else, other than the issue at hand. They were so pathetically avoided it, it was ridiculous.

Thankfully, towards the end some sane people showed up and put it to rights. I liked the post which reminded everyone about their reaction to Priyanka and Nick, and how everybody thinks 11 years difference is too much. But, here , apparently, 30 y.o. difference with a power imbalance is just OK.

Also, allow me to remind you about their reaction to Karlie’s engagement, and how people pointed out that she started dating her fiance when she was 18 y.o. and he was 26 y.o. People said it was gross, and I tend to agree. But, hey, that was easy, that was Karlie and Kushner, whom Kaiser doesn’t like, so it was easy for posters to know how to react.

I’ve been promising to look at the stats. I use Alexa.com, which is a free tool. Last time I looked at the stats was a long time ago.  From what I am seeing since then Celebitchy.com rankings both in the US and globally are up about 2 thousand points, in comparison to other sites. Last time they were ranked in the 8th thousand and now they are in the 6th thousand in the US.

So, what do I know . )))

The funny thing is their traffic pattern matches almost exactly with the Daily Mail. Maybe people are just reading more gossip.

I was just reading the post on Amal vs. Angelina and kept saying to myself - what? what? in what universe does this make any sense? But one thing does make sense now -  the irrational dislike of Amal on Celebitchy. She is Angelina’s competition in their eyes!

It was also funny how posters kept addressing their posts to Brad, as if he reads Celebitchy, lol.
