Latest Stats
I checked Celebitchy.com latest stats, They are doing much better last 2 months. I don’t really see the reason, but I am guessing it is all those Trump articles that attract people. Expect more of the same then. If it is working for them, they are going to continue.

A couple more thoughts.
* Celebitchy is so repetitive, they are just going through motions. You almost know what you are going to see every day - Royals, Trump, Hiddleston, some random 3rd tier celebrity clickbait. This is usually a sign of a site on life support where the writers (in this case the writer, I guess) spend no time on new research, just automatically going through motions. I haven’t looked at their traffic stats in a while. I need to do that.
* If you are supposed to be an entertainment / celebrity blog and you are short on topics to cover how about you cover Olivier Awards, for example? This is a pretty high profile event.

Here is the scoop on today’s visit to CB
· Daily clickbait articles on Tom Hiddleston are just lame. It is obvious CB is catering to Tom Huddleston’s fans who are the biggest contingent of loyal readers remaining on CB. It is not CB, it is HiddlestonDaily now. I don’t hate Hiddleston, I am neutral on him. But I don’t consider him to be a great actor. He is a good actor, one of hundreds other good actors. Brits are blessed with having so many good actors to pick from. Nevertheless, the conspiracy theories trying to explain why Hiddleston wasn’t nominated for BAFTA were fun to read.
· Janelle Monae is talking about denying sex to men until they show women respect. I don’t know even where to start on this. If someone doesn’t respect you then you shouldn’t even socialize with that person, never mind having sex. But if you think that using sex as a carrot will make anyone respect you more, the truth is very much the opposite. People should respect us for who we are, regardless of whether they get sex or not. To their credit many CB posters did see how wrong this idea is and did speak up. But some instead decided to talk about how nice Monae looks because they didn’t want to openly criticize her. If it was almost anybody else they would’ve torn her to shreds, though. This kind of hypocrisy I cannot respect. Speak your mind and don’t be so partisan.
· So many posters who are still not willing to give up the conspiracy theory that Trump is a Russian agent truly scare me. This kind of willful denial and ignorance is not rational. So many still claim that Trump is a Russian agent because he warned Russians about the strike but not the Congress. Let me put it this way - the Congress doesn’t have missiles that could kill Americans, Russians do. If Russians weren’t warned they could’ve considered the airstrike an attack on them and retaliated. And this is not something anyone wants, including Trump. I am very much in the “pox on both of their houses” camp when it comes to Trump and Clinton. But I have no desire to goad Trump into yet another war we don’t need.
· Kaiser is talking about how Justin Trideau looks so much more princely than William. Harry, of course, gets a pass. First, monarchy is archaic. Both William and Harry should stop playing princes, abdicate and go live normal lives. Neither of them deserves our adoration. As for Trideau, he is a leader of a country. And hopefully he is doing his job well. He is not in his position for his good looks. Or, at least, he shouldn’t be

Ah, the smell of the WW3 with the morning coffee. No, I don't like it.
And all the people posting about Trump being a Russian agent and the Syrian air strike being a PR move for Trump with Russians being in on it, and everything is choreographed. Stop, I beg you. Ask any Russian what they think and I am pretty sure they will tell you that this is not how Russians operate.
You will sleepwalk into the WW3 all the way believing that this is all planned by Trump and Putin. It will be too late when you finally realize it is not a game, and there is no devious plan, but two nuclear powers on a brink of a confrontation. Are you willing to take the chance?

Anonymous asked: I just wanted to say that I love your site. I have been a regular reader (never comment, though!) of Celebitchy for two or three years now, and Kaiser's constant race-baiting is ridiculous. She looks for an argument in EVERY post and it's so negative. I've been trying to look for a celebrity gossip blog that is not so negative but it's hard...I agree with everything that you write about on Banned from Celebitchy, from the nasty commenters to the faux-feminism!
Thank you for the kind words. I am glad to hear this.
Somehow little by little CB descended from being fun and snarky to outright negativity. Being snarky is ok, as long as it is done in a lighthearted manner and is not malicious, but the line is pretty thin and is easy to cross.

Anonymous asked: Although I was not banned from CB, I actually banned myself from posting ever again a couple of years ago. (In fact, a few of my own comments I disliked and asked CB to delete them for me.) This was for many of the reasons you stated, but the overall negativity of the site was getting me down, and no matter what I wrote, I felt I was only perpetuating the spin. No question for you really, I'm just glad to know I was not alone in my feelings for CB.
Agree with you there. CB is extremely negative now. It is really not a healthy place. But it was different 2-3 years ago when I started reading it. For one, there were 3-4 regular writers, not only Kaiser. Kaiser is the most negative one. And I almost always disagree with her, so that got me banned pretty quickly.))
I rarely bother going there, maybe once a week, just to keep this blog afloat. But when I was banned for the 2nd time I felt like I needed a place to speak up because what Kaiser does with manipulating the posts and censoring of any opposing opinions is not right.

Anonymous asked: You started a Tumblr to complain about Celebitchy?! That's negative. Why not start your own Celeb gossip board where anyone can speak freely on gossip. What is the point in putting down someone else site becuase YOU don't agree with their posts? You're giving Celebitchy more attention...
Thank you for asking. )) I started this blog so that I could post what I think since I am not allowed to do that on Celebitchy. They banned me for disagreeing with “the party line”.
I am not someone who you can just tell to shut up and I will comply. I stand behind the things I say. If I say something it usually means I believe it. To be shut down and not allowed to speak and defend my point of view is offensive to me.
it is interesting that you think I am negative because one of my main disagreements with Celebitchy is that they are too negative. I am not negative enough for them, apparently. I don’t immediately jump on somebody for a slight misstep. I prefer to give the benefit of a doubt. I don’t willfully misinterpret other people’s world or omit fact to construct a narrative for which to criticize them.
As for why I don’t I start my own site. Well, for one thing I already have a full time job. And it pays much better than a job of a gossip writer. I am also very good at it what I do for a living and I enjoy it.

Anonymous asked: I too was recently banned from Celebitchy, while defending myself :) I became tired of women attacking other women, based on a woman's appearance. I asked the question why should women invest so much time in tearing down other women. It is one thing to question a woman's work ethic, but the woman looked lovely. I expressed the opinion that it is hypocrisy to tear down other women based on their looks and then criticize on the same day Bill O'Reilly for attacking a woman based on her looks.
This is a familiar story. I think I read one on Amal and one on Chris Pine (even though he is not a woman) recently and I see there is another one on Mara today. I noticed Kaiser only writes those about people she doesn’t like.
Why is it even a topic of conversation? It is bewildering to me. Amal, for example, looked stunning. But people still have to find a fault with her. Her shoes were too sparkly for the dress, apparently.
Kate Middleton also can never dress right, according to CB. She looks fine to me most of the time. She looks definitely better than me every time. )) I noticed the commenters have this strange negative obsession with her nude shoes. You would think wearing nude shoes is a crime on the level of torturing pets.
The whole endless criticism of clothes is exhausting. Commenters on CB take it way too seriously. Why do they expect a celebrity have a perfectly put together outfit every time? It takes days to plan an outfit, and then it is only worn once. It is such a waste. Just judge the people for their actions, the end of.
Talking about clothes can be fun, but when it turns negative and toxic, people need to step back and really think about - why is it so important to them what shoes a celebrity wears?

Anonymous asked: Just wanted to say that I "banned" myself from Celebitchy several weeks ago, because I was tired of Kaiser deleting my posts so often. I felt like it was a personal attack, because it happened too often. Each time it happened, I would go back to see who had written the article, knowing it would be "Kaiser." She has much in common with Trump, whom she often calls "Emperor Baby Fists," because she does, indeed, see herself as "Empress," i.e., "Kaiser."

Anonymous asked: Have any suggestions for an entertainment site that isn't so 'bitchy'? I just like to read a little (harmless) gossip about movie celebs sometimes, but it's all so invasive or cracky or stalkery everywhere. Celebitchy has nice photos sometimes but they are mean. Just curious if you know of someplace better.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a non-bitchy celebrity gossip site with a good layout, as of yet. If anyone has recommendations, feel free to share.
Some people recommend D-listed, but I find their layout and comments sections to be badly organized.
