I visited CB today and I read the post about Maureen O’Hara. I was reading the glowing comments about her and I was nodding along. What a beautiful woman, inside and out.
Then I went to Joe Alwyn’s post and saw the same people going on about how they don’t think he is good looking. Really, it is like being with the high school kids. Everybody tries to show their disdain for the cool girl’s boyfriend. And failing badly. Just how many times do you have to say that some guy you know nothing about doesn’t look appealing to you? And why?
This dichotomy is just weird. How can you be a normal person one minute and then completely irrational and immature just minutes later?
There was one sane person who said this was similar to bullying. And , of course, the regulars immediately jumped in with their “this is a gossip site” schtick.

Anonymous asked: Sixer and LightPurple (formerly LilacFlowers, who was banned and changed names) drove me to leave CB. I wasn’t banned, I just can’t stand how obnoxious they are and they pop into too many threads to “snark” but just come off like assholes. And yes, Kaiser is a classic white feminist. She completely disregarded the upset over Sebastian Stan’s “take the knee” debacle, which definitely rightfully offended some posters there. And you cannot mention Lainey for some reason.
I can’t stand either one as well. Both are obnoxious hypocrites. LilacFlowers got banned because she went against the party line on CB and criticized Kanye for his unathorized video with naked Taylor and other women. The rest of CB, with Kaiser in the lead, were all busy attacking “snake” Taylor and defending “poor” Kanye West from her. Some feminists they are …
Anyway, so instead of standing her ground LilacFlowers changed her name and came back as if nothing happened.
Sixer was making all kinds of excuses for Georgina when Weinstein scandal broke but she doesn’t have a problem ripping into Kate Middleton, who is absolutely harmless.

Anonymous asked: This is old news but I want share a story about when I had my comments deleted on some CB post about Ryan Lochte being an a-hole in Rio. Kaiser was basically defending Ryan and trying to diminish brazilian authorities at all costs. Even after he was proven wrong. So when someone tries to bring a new light into the subjects that are sensitive to the CB team (How dare a 3rd world country make our beloved-but-not-so-bright child look so bad for the whole world to see?), you know what happens.
I noticed myself that Kaiser and the general readership are not at all receptive to non-US-centric views. That tells me that Kaiser is not that well read or well traveled. regardless of what she claims. Her views are very narrow.

I remember prior to Depp and Heard breaking up, Kaiser portrayed her as a fame whore who loved pap walks and Deep was painted as this guy who put up with it. Not to mention Matt Damon was constantly painted as a good guy because of how he gave interviews? Please he has to be one of the worst in Hollywood, Kaiser is naive and readers should not accept all the view points presented. Kaiser knows little to nothing about the celebrities being talked about, the only accuracy is perhaps Trump’s coverage I’ll give them that much.

Anonymous asked: Did you see the latest article on Kate? It’s very petty and childish, especially the “game” she proposes at the end
No, I didn’t. I usually don’t read Kate Middleton or Angelina articles, they are just too much for me. I took a peak at one a few weeks back and Kaiser made it sound like Kate got pregnant just so that she can upstage Meghan Markle or something like that.
I read one about Taylor Swift yesterday and it was fun watching the usual haters trying to reconcile their feelings for her and the fact that they liked the song.
The one comment claiming that Alwyn is not that good looking made me snort. I get it that tastes are different , but Alwyn is very handsome. He and Taylor also look very similar, which makes me think that he is one for her. People often fall for those who look like them.

Anonymous asked: I noticed earlier today on the Hugh Hefner article that some people commented about why was the site still linking to popaholic? Some other posters said something about how the site was heavily moderated and called out Kaiser. Those comments have since been deleted.
I bet the answer is money. CB gets money for the links. In the end, despite all the claims of being progressive and what is not, CB is a business. It is there to make its owners money. This is the reason they post about Trump 5 times a day - clicks, which turn into money, and this is the reason for advertising and links.

Anyone thinks “notasugarhere” is Kaiser? I am not one for conspiracy theories but the writing style is very similar.
Anyway, regardless, on the controversy of a librarian rejecting Dr. Seuss books that Melani Trump gave, notasugarhere seems to be the only person working hard to justify it.
My view is that you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. If something is given with good intentions, you accept it and move on. You can decide how to handle the gift later, if you don’t actually need it. Anything else is very rude and hurtful.

Ha-ha. Kaiser is tying herself into a pretzel to prove the point that the Wonder Woman is a feminist icon and James Cameron is wrong. I know nothing about James Cameron, the person, but his point is valid and whatever his personal failing are, his point still stands on its own.
The Wonder Woman is not a feminist icon. It is disgrace to consider her as such because the character relies too much on the looks and the sexy outfits. Let’s not pretend the tiny outfit that WW wears is an accident.
Pippi Longstocking is more of a feminsit icon than WW will ever be. I feel sad for young American women who are taught that WW is something to aspire and who don’t have enough exposure to strong female characters to know any better.

Anonymous asked: I have no idea why I was banned from Celebitchy. How can I find out the reason?
I don’t think so. But it is safe to say that it was whatever your posted the last day. I know some people even emailed the Celebitchy owner asking to be unblocked because they felt they didn’t do anything wrong. They never got any response back, of course.
Some of them got eventually unblocked after a year or so, once their IP addresses disappeared from the blocked list. It looks like whatever blocking software CB uses, it clears up IP addresses after 6 months or a year.

Anonymous asked: Do you know what happened to Virgilia Coriolanus? She was my favorite commenter.
No, I don’t. If anyone knows, feel free to shoot me a note. I’ll post it. I remember her as well. She had very thoughtful posts.
I also remember Nutballs. She was funny, she was a Hiddleston fan. Once she ventured outside of Hiddles posts into something more controversial and got banned.
P.S.
I just checked Lianna’s site, I thought I saw Viriginia’s posts there. Here is her last one from this July. Maybe she did start her own site.
Yeah–I haven’t been commenting on CB as often. Part of it is because I don’t want to write a comment and then have it modded–especially if I worked looong and haaard on that comment too. I’m also annoyed that you apparently can’t write about hot dreams about Tom Hardy, but they’ll let people GO TO TOWN on the Jennifer/Justin/Brad/Angelina threads. I mean, I honestly start dreading reading the threads because of a few people who just go after people for disagreeing. Why aren’t any of their comments deleted?
But yeah, I was telling my friend this, and she told me to start my own site—she convinced me…..:)
