Anonymous asked: The Bill Clinton post makes me want to throw up. I will say OF COURSE we should still be holding the current president's feet to the fire for his words and actions, but Kaiser's hypocritical and antifeminist words about Bill Clinton are making me sick. It's okay to say both men were wrong, you know. It's true Monica was technically an adult but she was not only a very young adult, i.e. a college student, but she was an intern, an employee, and he was the most powerful man in the world.
I could not believe what I was reading on the Bill Clinton thread today. This is a classic sexual harassment case. But, of course, our lawyer-in-residence lilacflowers could not recognize it. Neither could the chief-feminist-in-residence otaku fairy. Kitten, of course, would excuse anyone with the last name Clinton. The whol thread was unbelievable. Only towards the end of it some sane people showed up and started asking “Really? “

bannedfromcelebitchy said: No, she was 22 when the affair started. But you are missing the whole point, it is not about the age, it is about the imbalance of power. It might be different in other countries, but in the US any superior involved with a person who reports to them is in violation of the sexual harassment law. Anyone who took a law class or a corporate ethics class would know that. This scenario is addressed specifically and many powerful CEOs were fired for breaching this rule.
