Today’s Munroe Bergdorf post is such a mess. I’ll try to step lightly here because I didn’t grow up in the US, and I didn’t grow up with the American race struggles. I had my own experiences as a mixed ethnicity person and I  think that helps me to see both sides of the argument.

I only want to say that outside of the US there is no such term as  “reverse racism”. At least I never heard it. There is only “racism”. No person is exempt from being seen as a racist if their actions are racist. And ”racism” means personal racism, institutional racism is called “institutional racism” and not simply “racism”.

Btw, I just read on the Guardian what happened to Michael Bennet and it is absolutely crazy. American police is  out of control. Guns and racism are an awful combination. I am not black and American police terrifies me. I can’t imagine being black and having to face them, without knowing what to expect.
