Thank you. As I read more of today’s comments which weren’t there yesterday I saw that. Sorry for overreacting. It is a nice thing she did, but it is blown way out of proportions on CB.
Couldn’t believe the hate on the Kate posts. And I think Meghan is headed for sainthood.
—————————————————————————————————–
Lol, so yesterday I went and read the post about Meghan’s cookbook and the comments and I was just dying from laughter. The posters sound like teenage Taylor Swift fans, or Hanna Montana fans of a decade ago.
They all went and bought the book immediately on Amazon.. Yay! Why stop there, buy 5 copies, like Taylor’s fans. There is nothing wrong with it, I just thought it is funny they behave like that on a site that hates Taylor. Actually Meghan reminds me of Taylor so much in her manner and body language.
And all Meghan did, apparently, was writing the foreword for the book, or rather her PR person did, with Meghan’s input. It is such hard work, or as one person said “this is a modern, thinking royal”. I almost burst out laughing. No kidding.
I was banned from celebitchy..and just realized it. I think it was because I did not agree with all the Angelina Jolie saga..and I guess that is why I was banned. I was thinking it was becoming very one sided when it comes to certain celebrities. but I thought the tone was getting dark and very mean spirited.
————————————————————————————————–
And now you know why it is so one sided. Because everybody else is banned.
Compare, if can stomach it, the Meghan and Kate articles today. 150 ish comments each. Meghan’s are all good and Kate’s are all bad. It would be funny it it wasn’t so obvious. Now I don’t really think either of these inituatives are exactly perfect but come on, please see yourselves people, they are clearly pandering to Meghan.

Just last week I was so angry when I saw comments judging Kate for not working because she was on maternity leave. It is maternity leave , not vacation! Honestly, we wouldn’t let men get away with ignorant comments like that. But when it is women doing it, it is OK?!!!
No, it is not OK. I am in the US, I worked until the day my contractions started, and that is normal in the US. We are treated like livestock here, and that is not OK. And people who don’t see that because it is more important for them to disparage Kate than to defend women’t rights, I don’t have words for them ….
Anyway, the next day I saw that Kate was out with her own charity, and, apparently, was not just lolling about during her maternity leave (Urggghhhh.) I did wonder how the Kate-haters were going to spin that.
I know, this is CRAZY and an outright abuse of power. She remains anonymous, but she thinks it is OK to unmask posters who sign up to her site under anonymous names. It is doxxying, pure and simple, if it true, and should be against their terms of service, not that I read them.
And they also never forget whatever it was Kate did in her early 20s. I think bar hopping was her unforgivable sin. The double standard is very obvious.
I got banned from Celebitchy because I brought up the subject of parental alienation and had felt the story of B. Pitt and A. Jolie on CB was very one sided…and the comments and Kaiser posted often about Pitt being an abusive alcoholic…I had a good friend who was a good Dad and he experience parental alienation and I wanted to point it out…now I am banned. I didnt realize how many have been struck from its comment section for petty reasons.
————————————————————————————————-
Saying something that can be perceived as even slightly critical of Jolie is not allowed on CB, it is like cursing in church. Simply not done .)))
Kaiser called Prince William a racist because he made a mistake in confusing Chinese and Japanese food. He corrected himself instantly but that wasn’t good enough for her. Fortunately not many posters agreed with her.
I still can’t get over the excuses for Cassel. He dated a teenager, 30 years his junior, cheated on his wife, and that is somehow is being excused along the lines “well, if I was in the same situation, I would’ve also jumped on the chance”. Duh, it is not about you, it is about him making a choice to date a teenager.
Henry Cavill was “cancelled” because he dated a 18 y.o. , while he was 30 something, and not married to somebody else. I guess, unlike Cassell, Cavill didn’t get the pass because Kaiser is not attracted to him.
Does she even hear herself? And it is interesting how commenters fall in line with Kaiser’s line of thinking, depending which man it is about. She trained them well. Either that, or she doesn’t let the comments which disagree with her through.
My thoughts exactly.
I also don’t think many Celebitchy posters, if any, would be able to handle the treatment they, themselves, so freely dole out.
I have also been banned by Kaiser MULTIPLE TIMES! I’ve used up all my personal, professional, and business e-mail addresses. But half my comments were deleted anyway, even before I was banned.
Anyway, I know Kaiser has mentioned multiple times that she is half Indian, but she’s never said what the other half is? I’m guessing she must be African American based on how if you don’t gush about other AA celebrities you will be banned or your comment deleted. I’m guessing she’s also overweight, due to all her cries for body positivity and how we need more “real” and “average” women to be models and movie stars.
I’m guessing her demographic is exactly like her. Any woman who is thin is accused of having an eating disorder, white women are consistently referred to as “beckies” by both Kaiser and her commenters, ad the term “whitesplaining” is used all to often.
—————————————————————————————————–
According to what Kaiser posted herself her father is Indian and her mother is white. My guess is that her parents are divorced and she was raised by her mother, because she just doesn’t show the knowledge of familiarity of Indian or Indian culture, or should I say cultures, since there are so many.
In regards to African Americans, she courts this demographic for her site, but multiple times she showed not to have true interest or understanding of the topic, and every time she was called out for it, she responded by banning people or deleting whole chains of comments.
I liked what one of the commenters posted about his charity work. In the end, actions speak louder than words. And you are right, sometimes there is no answer that would please everyone.
Oh no. Oh no!! Hahahaha! I found this website when I accidentally googled “celebitchy.com” instead of entering it into my browser bar. I was like, “Oh? What’s this?” and clicked further down the page, to this Tumblr. Oh, my god. I’d had no IDEA others were banned from Celebitchy, too!
So, ok, just a bit of backstory: I used to be a professional culture critic. I have bylines at NYTimes, Guardian, Paste Magazine, a variety of tech websites… I even covered Kesha versus Dr. Luke, when that story was still fairly unknown, for Flavorwire. I’ve mostly been a tech writer my entire life, but for nine months I actually blogged about celebrity gossip for easy money. I replaced Molls McAleer at her old job when she left to found HelloGiggles. (The pay was fine, but… having to pose serious moral questions to yourself every morning, “Is it okay that I cover this?” is… well, it’s crazymaking. I *now* realize there are critical pop-culture analysts like Anne Helen Petersen, but those types didn’t exist back when I did it, back when it was basically dirty money you were earning.) I stopped writing culture-essays four years ago because of something unrelated to celebrity gossip… but I started to get my groove back on Celebitchy, and I guess I was leaving reeeeally long comments… …and then I got banned.
I got super fucking banned. It was probably because of one of the times I’d written a long analysis about why a bad take was a Bad Take, but it might’ve been as benign as the time I wrote a longform analysis of Jessica Chastain’s changing fashion sense. Who knows? I honestly can’t remember.
Either way, it was actually really hard on me! I was like, “Wow, what a total failure; you’ll never write for anyone again, you got banned from a random blog, you obviously suck.” I took it mega hard. But banning me didn’t stop me from posting.
I just switched to my real-name email and kept posting – shorter comments, obviously, and much less pointed ones. I was a rule-follower now, I guess. But oh my god, hahahahahaha! I finally saw the Tumblr questions here that are like “whoa, why did they add the whole thing to their comments policy about deleting comments that are long?"
Oh, no. I can honestly say that was added FOR ME. I did that! I am why! Oh my god, that is so embarrassing, I am crying. I hadn’t realized that the comments policy was updated FOR ME before now, and… I’m honestly a little bit crushed! I’d thought that my ban was random and arbitrary! It kind of cuts to the quick, that they were THAT insistent that I just leave their website.
Before now, I didn’t realize how much they wanted me to just leave. (I’m not being delusional btw; the policy change was FOR ME. The timelines match up. This is literally why I was banned, and they made up a rule for me afterward. Ugh.)
Anyway, I can’t go back and comment on that website again, obviously. To me it’s like, wow! My ban wasn’t a shot in the dark, wasn’t arbitrary. They just really don’t want me to comment ever again.
Obviously I’m verbose, so you can see why I was banned, too, haha. Sorry! Old habits die hard. But… I know my insights were good. It’s kind of fucked up to claim that people who have lots to say are "distracting from the story,” and that really bothers me.
To anyone else who fancies themselves as a burgeoning culture critic, just, take your talents elsewhere, ok? Don’t let your opinion of yourself be ruined by these people. I wish there were another good gossip website with a cool comments section, but I guess there isn’t one. That’s heartbreaking, but it’s what it is.

“Either way, it was actually really hard on me! I was like, “Wow, what a total failure; you’ll never write for anyone again, you got banned from a random blog, you obviously suck.
“ - Lol, I felt something similar. )))
I just got banned because I didn’t praise Serena Williams in the post about her yesterday. Today there’s another post where comments are heavily moderated and most comments are agreeing with Serena, and Kaiser actually thanked one poster for telling others they’re not real tennis fans for having a different opinion. LMAO Kaiser is so biased and she’s not even ashamed of it. That website has truly gone to the pits.
—————————————————————————————————–
That Serena Williams post is a such trainwreck. Serena behaved like a spoiled diva, and instead of just admitting it and moving on people are trying to justify it. Sure, there could be multiple reasons that she lost it, but the fact remains that she did, in a professional setting. Most of us, if we behaved like Serena, would be out of work, regardless of our race, color or sex. Nobody behaves like that in my office.
On top of it, you have to realize that foreigners have very little understanding of the US racial dynamics, and the other player got caught in the cross-fire, through no fault of her own. And she is a woman of color too! And from a country notorious for sexism. Japan is far more sexist than the US. But Celebitchy posters don’t care about that. They feel they have to protect Serena at all costs.
Absolutely. I remember they racked Scarlett Johanson over the coals for going out with Shawn Penn, once. She was cancelled. Charlise dated Penn for a few years, but because she was liked, that was OK. Robin was actually married to the guy.
Lol. Isn’t that the truth. I always found it strange how some posters knew what happened to this and that royal on a given day 20 years ago, and what engagements they had and how many, and was it official or unofficial.
It is bad enough that some people track this type of staff for a living, but at least they are paid for it. But then there are also people who do this because they have nothing better to do with their lives, and it is just sad.
I think you are right. I think many of them don’t even realize that Amal is a WOC. I’ve been puzzled for a long time by their hatred of Amal until recently Kaiser herself clued me in. It turns out they see her as an Angelina’s competitor. The whole thing is just wild.
It is funny how Otaku Fairy is never there to educate them about slut shaming. She knows she’ll get banned in no time.
You are welcome!
My comment on yesterday’s Salma Hayek post got deleted. All I said was that I thought it was demeaning to refer to her as a “trophy wife” but alas, the poster didn’t agree with my feedback
—————————————————————————————————-
I agree with you. Salma Hayek might be attracted to power and money, but so are most people. That alone doesn’t make her a trophy wife. Otherwise, by the same argument, Meghan Markle is a trophy wife too.
I agree completely. The journalists, and that is who she works as, even though she is not qualified and has no idea what the expectations are, are not supposed to be anonymous. They are supposed to fact check and stand behind what they write.
And attacking other women’s looks just because they don’t like the woman is just gross. I saw this today on Miranda Lamert’s post. I don’t know much about her, I don’t listen to her music, it does seem like she is not a very nice person. But then, you know what, come out and say it. Don’t attack something that nobody has any control over, i.e. their looks. That is what women 2-3-4 generations before us used to do, because that is what the society valued in women most - their looks. But one hopes we are past that point.
If women want to end sexism, then they should stop behaving in a sexist manner themselves.
VPN works even against Chinese government censorship. )))
So, after the trainwreck of the Cassel’s post I got to the Krainski’s post. And people are annoyed at him praising his wife. Really? Wow. Now, ask yourself, if a woman was saying something like that about her more famous husband, would we think anything amiss? Of course, not! But, when the genders are reversed, people are uncomfortable with it. They internalized the patriarchy and they don’t even know it about themselves.
Absolutely. So, according to Kaiser, women (a.k.a Kardashians) are free to choose what to do with their bodies , but at the same time we (Celebitchy) are going to shame Kate Middleton for potentially having extensions.Hey, it is completely logical. Who pays (that is Kardashians) that is who orders the music.
Lol. I just wrote about that too. Again,
